Abu Ahmad al-Hakim: Narrated hadiths that were not corroborated
Abu Ahmad ibn Adi al-Jarjani: As Ali ibn al-Madini said, I only objected to Abu Zuhair's narrations from al-A'mash, which are not corroborated by trustworthy narrators. He also has strange narrations from others besides al-A'mash, and is among the weak narrators whose hadiths are recorded
Abu Zar'a al-Razi: Truthful
Abu Ya'la al-Khalili: Considered him trustworthy
Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani: Truthful
Al-Dhahabi: There was nothing wrong with him
Zakaria ibn Yahya al-Saji: Among the truthful, but with some weakness
Sulaiman ibn Hayyan al-Ahmar: Praised him highly, and once said: Trustworthy
Ali ibn al-Madini: He is nothing, and we abandoned him, and he was not like that
Isa ibn Yunus al-Sabi'i: He was a seeker of knowledge
Authors of Tahrir Taqrib al-Tahdhib: Truthful, good in hadith, except in his narration from al-A'mash, where he is weak
Wakee' ibn al-Jarrah: Praised him highly, and said: He sought knowledge before and after us
Yahya ibn Ma'in: There was nothing wrong with him
