Ismail ibn Abd Allah al-Sakri: He never heard anything from al-Walid ibn Muslim, and I knew him as something like a judge, but he was a muhallil (one who marries a woman divorced three times) who would marry women for men and be given something in return for divorcing them. He was in a bad state.
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: Saduq (Truthful). He was criticized without any evidence.
al-Khatib al-Baghdadi: He was among the truthful.
Muslimah ibn al-Qasim al-Andalusi: Thiqah (Trustworthy)
