Musannifu Tahrir Taqrib al-Tahdhib: Saduq hasan al-hadith, wa qawl Abi Dawud madfu' bi ma'rifati Abi Hatim lahu, wa qawl al-'Uqayli yu'add min mubalaghatihi wa ta'nnuhu (Truthful, good in hadith, and the saying of Abu Dawud is rejected by Abu Hatim's knowledge of him, and the saying of al-'Uqayli is considered one of his exaggerations and attacks)
