Ibn 'Asakir al-Dimashqi: He narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and narrated from 'Umar. Yazid ibn 'Abdullah ibn Qusayt and Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn 'Umar ibn Hazm and his son, 'Abdullah ibn Abi Hadrad narrated from him. He witnessed the Battle of Yarmouk with 'Umar
al-Mizzi: He has companionship (with the Prophet)
