Abu Ahmad al-Hakim: He contradicts in some of his hadiths
Abu Ahmad ibn Adi al-Jurjani: Some of his hadiths are authentic, and the trustworthy narrators agree with him on them, and some of them are not agreed upon by anyone. He is one of those whose hadiths are written down
Abu Bakr al-Bayhaqi: Weak, his narration is not to be used as evidence
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Busti: He was one of those who made many mistakes, but his mistakes were not so egregious as to warrant his abandonment. Nor is he one of those who followed the ways of the trustworthy narrators so that their ways could be followed. What I think about him is that one should avoid what contradicts the trustworthy narrators from his reports, and use as evidence what agrees with the proven ones. Yahya ibn Ma'in sometimes considered him trustworthy and sometimes considered him weak
Abu Dawud al-Sijistani: Good in hadith
Abu Zur`a al-Razi: Good and trustworthy, as if he were lenient. And once he said: Weak in hadith
Abu Abd Allah al-Hakim al-Naysaburi: He was accused of frequent forgetfulness. And once he mentioned him in al-Mustadrak, he said: Trustworthy
Abu Ya'la al-Khalili: Approaching (the level of being acceptable)
Ahmad ibn Hanbal: Good. And once: He is not bad. Or he said: Trustworthy. And his father is weak in hadith
Ahmad ibn Shu`ayb al-Nasa'i: He is not strong, he is weak, and his son Isma'il is weaker than him
Ahmad ibn Salih al-Jili: Trustworthy
Ibn Abi Hatim al-Razi: His hadith is written down, but not used as evidence. He is not strong
Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani: Trustworthy, he makes mistakes
Ibn Abd al-Barr al-Andalusi: Bad memory, he contradicts in some of his hadiths
al-Daraqutni: He is not strong, and some of his hadiths narrated on the authority of al-Zuhri are questionable
Ali ibn al-Madini: He was considered weak by our companions
Amr ibn Ali al-Fallas: He has some weakness, but he is considered trustworthy by them
Authors of Tahdhib al-Tahdhib: Weak, but considered
Yahya ibn Ma'in: Good, but his hadith is not that acceptable. And once: He is not strong. And once he said: Weak in hadith. And once: Trustworthy but not a proof. And once: He steals hadith. Dr. Ahmad Muhammad Nazir Saif says: Yahya ibn Ma'in's opinion of him varied, and it seems that the last of his opinions of him was an improvement of his status. The Baghdadis narrated what indicates this, as mentioned in
Ya'qub ibn Shaybah al-Saddūsi: Trustworthy and good in hadith, but he tends towards weakness
