Abu Bakr al-Bayhaqi: He is not strong
Abu Ja'far al-'Uqayli: He narrated a hadith that no one else narrated from his source
Abu Hatim al-Razi: He is not strong, his hadith is recorded but not used as evidence
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Busti: He was an eminent sheikh, but he used to make mistakes in narrations and err in chains of transmission, so much so that it became evident in his narrations and the errors he narrated from famous people. Therefore, he is not worthy of being used as evidence
Abu Zur'a al-Razi: He is not strong
Abu 'Isa al-Tirmidhi: Truthful, except that he may have elevated something that others consider weak
Ahmad ibn Hanbal: He is not strong, and once: He is not reliable, and once: Weak in hadith
Ahmad ibn Shu'ayb al-Nasa'i: Weak
Ahmad ibn Salih al-Jili: His hadith is recorded, but he is not strong, he is passable
Ibrahim ibn Ya'qub al-Jawzajani: He is weak in hadith, with a tendency to deviate from the truth. His hadith is not used as evidence, and once: Basri, weak in hadith, not used as evidence
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: Weak, his hadith is not considered good except with corroboration and supporting evidence. He is mentioned in al-Matalib al-'Aliya. He had a poor memory
al-Daraqutni: He is lenient
al-Dhahabi: One of the hadith scholars, but not reliable
Hamad ibn Zayd al-Jahdami: He narrated to us and made many mistakes, and once: He used to change the chains of transmission, as if he was not like that
Zakariya ibn Yahya al-Saji: He is among the truthful, but he is not considered among those who are unanimously agreed upon as reliable
Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah: I wrote a large book about him, but then I abandoned it out of lack of interest in him
Shu'bah ibn al-Hajjaj: He used to elevate hadiths, and once: He narrated to us before his mental state deteriorated
Abd al-Baqi ibn Qani' al-Baghdadi: His mental state deteriorated in his later years, and his hadith was abandoned
Ali ibn al-Madini: He is weak according to us
Imad al-Din ibn Kathir al-Dimashqi: He has some strange narrations
Muhammad ibn Ishaq ibn Khuzaymah: I do not use him as evidence because of his poor memory
Muhammad ibn Isma'il al-Bukhari: He is not corroborated in his hadith
Muhammad ibn Sa'd Katb al-Waqidi: He narrated many hadiths, but there is weakness in him, and he is not used as evidence
Wahib ibn Khalid: His weakness
Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan: Hadith from him should be avoided
Yahya ibn Ma'in: He is not that strong, and once: Basri, weak, and once: Weak in everything, and once: He is not reliable, and once: He is not an authority, and once: He was asked about 'Asim ibn Abdullah, Ibn 'Aqil, and Ali ibn Zayd ibn Jud'an, and he said, 'Ali ibn Zayd is the most beloved to me
Yazid ibn Zari' al-'Ayli: I did not take from him because he was a Shi'ite
Ya'qub ibn Sufyan al-Faswi: His mental state deteriorated in his old age
Ya'qub ibn Shaybah al-Sadusi: Reliable, upright in hadith, but leaning towards leniency
