Muhammad ibn Isma'il al-Bukhari: He is not strong, and it is said: He died after the two hundred
Muhammad ibn Sa'd Katb al-Waqidi: He was weak in Hadith according to them, they wrote from him then abandoned him
Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj al-Naysaburi: Weak in Hadith
Musa ibn Isma'il al-Tabudhaki: We used to know him by some Hadiths, but when he came to you in Baghdad, he saw the crowd and narrated what was not from his Hadiths
Yahya ibn Ma'in: Abu Salamah narrated from him, so Yahya took the pen and struck his Hadith and said, "You have started to deceive us, O Abu Salamah," once saying "He is nothing," and once: "He was not trustworthy"
