Abu Ahmad ibn 'Adi al-Jarjani: I saw in some of his narrations things I considered objectionable, but I hope he is alright (as a narrator).
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Busti: Among those who mix up chains of narration and elevates mursal (narrations) without realizing, arguing with his reports is futile.
Abu 'Abd Allah al-Hakim an-Naysaburi: Among those who collect his Hadith.
Ahmad ibn Shu'ayb an-Nasa'i: Not strong (in Hadith), and once: He is alright.
Ahmad ibn Salih al-Jili: Thiqah (trustworthy).
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: Saduq (truthful), he makes mistakes.
Muhammad ibn Sa'd Katb al-Waqidi: Narrates few Hadiths, and not that (reliable).
Authors of Tahrir Taqrib at-Tahdhib: Saduq (truthful), Hasan al-Hadith (good in Hadith).
Yahya ibn Ma'in: Thiqah (trustworthy).
Ya'qub ibn Sufyan al-Faswi: Thiqah (trustworthy).
