Abu Ahmad ibn Adi al-Jurjani: I hope that his hadiths are upright, and once: There is nothing objectionable in his hadith
Abu Bakr al-Bazzar: There is no harm in him
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Busti: He made many mistakes, despite his few narrations, from those who narrated objectionable things from the famous, until he went beyond the limit of acceptability, except in what agreed with the trustworthy
Abu Zur'ah al-Razi: Lenient
Abu Muhammad ibn Hazm al-Zahiri: Very weak
Ahmad ibn Hanbal: Acceptable, people narrated from him and tolerated him, and once: Acceptable hadith
Ahmad ibn Shu'aib al-Nasai: Weak, not strong
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: Saduq (truthful) but makes mistakes
Zakaria ibn Yahya al-Saji: Saduq (truthful) and there is some weakness in him, not much, and he is tolerable because of his truthfulness
Muhammad ibn Sa'd Katab al-Waqidi: Trustworthy
