Abu Ahmad al-Hakim: He is not strong.
Abu Ahmad ibn Adi al-Jurjani: Shu'bah, Thawri and others from the trustworthy people narrated from him. Despite the weakness in him, his hadith is written.
Abu Bakr al-Bayhaqi: Weak, not strong, and once he said: Not relied upon.
Abu Hatim al-Razi: His hadith is written, weak in hadith, and once: He is not to be occupied with, confused in hadith.
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Busti: He became confused at the end of his life, so he would reverse the chains of narration, elevate mursal reports, and attribute to the trustworthy what is not from them.
Abu Hafs Umar ibn Shahin: And he is more knowledgeable about him than others, because he is from his town, but everyone described him as confused.
Abu Zur'ah al-Razi: He is not to be occupied with, he is confused in hadith, and once: Lenient in hadith, his argument is not accepted by the people of knowledge of hadith.
Abu Abd Allah al-Hakim al-Naysaburi: There is a consensus on his poor memory.
Ahmad ibn Hanbal: Confused in hadith, but people narrated from him, and once: One does not rejoice in his hadith, and once: He elevates things that others do not elevate, so they weakened him.
Ahmad ibn Shu'ayb al-Nasa'i: Weak
Ahmad ibn Salih al-Jili: Permissible hadith, and once: He is fine.
Ibrahim ibn Ya'qub al-Jawzajani: His hadith is weakened.
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: Truthful, he became very confused and his hadith was not distinguished, so it was abandoned. He said in al-Matalib al-'Aliyah: Weak.
Al-Hasan ibn al-Sabah al-Bazzar: He was afflicted with confusion, so his hadith became confused. We do not know of anyone who abandoned his hadith, and confusion was not proven against him, so he remained lenient in his hadith.
Al-Daraqutni: A man of sunnah, his hadith is extracted, and once: He is not a hafiz, and once: Poor memory, and once: Weak.
Al-Dhahabi: There is slight weakness in him due to his poor memory.
Jarir ibn Abd al-Hamid al-Dabbi: More confused than Ataa ibn al-Sa'ib.
Zakariyya ibn Yahya al-Saji: Truthful with weakness in him, poor memory, many mistakes.
Sufyan ibn Uyainah: Weakened him.
Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi: Layth is in a better condition in my view than Ataa and Yazid.
Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah al-'Absi: Truthful, but not bold, and once he said: He is trustworthy.
Isa ibn Yunus al-Sabi'i: I saw him and he had become confused.
Muhammad ibn Isma'il al-Bukhari: Truthful, he makes mistakes, and once: Truthful.
Muhammad ibn Sa'd, the scribe of al-Waqidi: A righteous, worshipping man, weak in hadith.
Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan: He had a very bad opinion of him.
Yahya ibn Ma'in: Rejector of hadith, and once: Weak, except that his hadith is written, and once: Weaker than Ataa and Yazid, and once: There is nothing wrong with him, and most of his sheikhs are unknown, and once: His hadith is not that weak, and in the narration of Ibn Mahriz from him, he was asked about writing his hadith, he said: Yes.
Ya'qub ibn Sufyan al-Faswi: His hadith is confused.
Ya'qub ibn Shaybah al-Sadusi: Truthful, weak in hadith.
