Abu Ahmad ibn Adi al-Jarjani: He narrated hadiths from him, and said: He has more than what I mentioned of the hadith, and in some of what he narrates is something disliked that is not followed, and despite his weakness, his hadith is written
Abu Hatim al-Razi: He is not strong in hadith, his hadith is written metaphorically and is not used as evidence
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Basti: He was one of those who distorted the news and had many delusions in the narrations

Ahmad ibn Shu'aib al-Nasa'i: A weak Kufi, and once: He is not trustworthy
Al-Dhahabi: It was said that he was a Murji'ite
Zakaria ibn Yahya al-Saji: One of the callers to Murji'ah
Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari: He is not relied upon, and once: And his kunya is Abu Umar al-Kufi, he is not a hafiz among them, and once: Kufi is not strong, they talk about his memorization, and once: He is not strong
Yahya ibn Ma'in: Weak, and once: Weak, his hadith is not written, and once: His hadith is nothing
