Abu Hatim al-Razi: Saduq (Truthful)
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Busti: Mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators
Abu Dawud al-Sijistani: Thiqah (Trustworthy)
Ibn Abi Hatim al-Razi: Thiqah Saduq (Trustworthy & Truthful)
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: Saduq Fadil (Truthful & Excellent)
Authors of Tahrir Taqrib al-Tahdhib: Thiqah (Trustworthy), for a group of trustworthy narrators narrated from him, including al-Bukhari in al-Sahih, and Abu Dawud, who only narrates from trustworthy narrators. And we do not know of any criticism against him. So we do not know why he refrained from declaring him trustworthy and said: Saduq (Truthful).
