Abu Ahmad al-Hakim: He narrated Munkar hadiths from al-Awza'i, and he is not considered strong by them
Abu Ahmad ibn 'Adi al-Jurjani: He has sound hadiths from al-Awza'i and others, and in my opinion, there is nothing wrong with his narration
Abu Hatim al-Razi: Weak in hadith, not strong, weakened because he narrated these Munkar hadiths
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Busti: Among those whose memorization was bad, to the extent that he would reverse chains of narration and elevate mursal hadiths. It is not permissible to rely on him when he narrates alone. As for when he agrees with the trustworthy narrators, then whoever relies on him may do so. And in what he does not contradict the established narrators, if someone considers him, I see no problem with that
Abu Zur'a al-Razi: Truthful in hadith, but he narrated Munkar hadiths. He was asked: Doesn't this weaken him? He said: We think he made mistakes in them
Abu 'Abd Allah al-Hakim al-Naysaburi: Trustworthy
Ahmad ibn Hanbal: There is nothing wrong with him. He said: His hadith from al-Awza'i is close. And from Hammad ibn Zayd, there is some confusion in it. He was asked: Do you narrate from him? He said: Yes
Ahmad ibn Shu'ayb al-Nasa'i: Weak
Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Aṭrabulsi: We have not seen a book specifically from him, but he used to narrate from memory
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: Truthful, with many mistakes
Al-Khaṭīb al-Baghdādī: He made many mistakes because he narrated from memory
Al-Daraqutni: He was not a hafiz (scholar who has memorized a vast body of knowledge, particularly hadith)
Al-Dhahabi: There is weakness in him
Salih ibn Muhammad Juzra: Weak in (hadiths narrated from) al-Awza'i
Abd al-Baqi ibn Qani' al-Baghdadi: Trustworthy
Abd al-Rahman ibn Yusuf ibn Khurash: Munkar al-hadith (rejected hadith)
Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Farhazani: Among the weak narrators
Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari: Yahya ibn Ma'in had a bad opinion of him
Authors of Tahrir Taqrib al-Tahdhib: Weak, but considered reliable in supporting narrations and corroborating evidence
Yahya ibn Ma'in: He is nothing. And once: He was not among the scholars of hadith, he was confused. And once: A warrior who does not know what he is narrating
