Abu Ja'far al-'Uqayli: There is some weakness in his narration
Abu Hatim al-Razi: Truthful, there is no problem with him
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: Truthful, he makes some mistakes
al-Dhahabi: Trustworthy, and the saying of al-'Uqayli: "There is some weakness in his narration" is regarding a single narration which he narrated as Marfu' when it was actually Mawquf, so what is the issue?
The authors of Tahrir Taqrib al-Tahdhib: Trustworthy, Muslim narrated from him in his Sahih, and Abu Dawud only narrates from trustworthy narrators
