Abu Ahmad ibn Adi al-Jurjani: I do not know that anyone narrated from him except al-Walid ibn Muslim, and some of his hadiths support others, and his hadith is written down.
Abu Hatim al-Razi: His hadith is sound.
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Basti: He narrates uniquely from al-Zuhri strange things that have no basis in the hadith of al-Zuhri. He was mostly known for bad memorization, so he made many mistakes. What he narrates uniquely is of little use for argumentation, and what he narrates in agreement with the trustworthy narrators is acceptable, God willing.
Abu Dawud al-Sijistani: He disliked answering regarding him.
Ahmad ibn Abi Khaythama al-Nasa'i: Trustworthy
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: Lenient in hadith
Dahim al-Dimashqi: His hadith from al-Zuhri is sahih
Muhammad ibn Ishaq ibn Khuzayma: Trustworthy
Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari: He is known and unknown
