Abu Ahmad ibn Adi al-Jurjani: Weakness in his hadith is apparent
Abu Ja'far al-'Uqayli: His hadith are not followed, and he is not known except through them
Abu Hatim al-Razi: He is not strong, a weak narrator of hadith
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Busti: His narration is not to be relied upon under any circumstances. What he narrates from weak narrators, if it is found to have a sound basis, is narrated on the authority of a trustworthy narrator from a just one, likewise up to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Judgment is passed upon him, then reliance on what he narrated alone is abandoned, and consideration is given to what is narrated by trustworthy narrators, and what is narrated by weak narrators is abandoned under all circumstances.
