Abu Ahmad bin Adi Al-Jarjani: He has some good Hadiths from narrators other than his father. He may sometimes err in some things. I hope he is truthful.
Abu Hatim bin Hibban Al-Busti: He mentioned him among the trustworthy and said: He was among the pious.
Abu Dawud Al-Sijistani: I dislike saying anything about him.
Ahmad bin Hanbal: I only wrote from him seventeen Hadiths in one sitting.
Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani: Saduq (Truthful) but may err sometimes. And once: He is among the meticulous narrators of Hadith. Al-Bukhari did not narrate much from him, but the others relied on him.
Abdul Baqi bin Qan'e Al-Baghdadi: Trustworthy and reliable.
Abdullah bin Al-Zubair Al-Hamidi: Do not listen to anything from this Qadari.
Authors of Tahrir Taqrib Al-Tahdhib: Saduq (Truthful) Hasan (Good) Al-Hadith. Both Sheikhs (Al-Bukhari and Muslim) relied on him in their Sahihs.
Yahya bin Sa'eed Al-Qattan: He did not consider him acceptable.
Yahya bin Ma'in: Saduq (Truthful) but not a Hadith authority. And once: He is not that strong. And once: Trustworthy. And once he said: He was not considered completely trustworthy, but the Hadith scholars desired his narrations for their chains of narration.
