Yahya ibn Ma'in: Trustworthy. Once he said, "I don't know him. He never heard anything from Abu Muslimah." In a narration by Ibn Muharriz from him, he once said: "Trustworthy and truthful." And once: "He considered him among the most reliable people in narrating from al-Zuhri after Malik.
