Abu al-Faraj ibn al-Jawzi: He mentioned a hadith that is not Sahih
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Busti: He is very munkar al-hadith, narrating many munkar hadiths to the point that it occurs to the heart of the listener that he intends to do so, due to the large number of hadiths he narrated that have no basis. It is not permissible to rely on him under any circumstances.
Abu Zur'ah al-Razi: He is fine, mustaqim al-hadith
Ahmad ibn Hanbal: Thiqah
Ahmad ibn Salih al-Jili: Thiqah
Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani: He is fine
Al-Daraqutni: Matruk, a liar, once: Da'if, and once: He is relied upon
Al-Dhahabi: They considered him thiqah, and once: It appears that the munkar is from the narrator from him
Muhammad ibn Sa'd كاتب الواقدي: Thiqah
Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan: I saw him as a bald, one-eyed old man
Yahya ibn Ma'in: Thiqah
