Abu Hatim al-Razi: Imam, jurist, wise, trustworthy, preserver of knowledge. I never saw a book in his hand that wasn't correct, and once he said: I have never seen a book more accurate than his book after him.
Abu Hatim ibn Habban al-Busti: He mentioned him among the trustworthy and said: One of the wise people.
Abu Zur'a al-Razi: Imam of his time, highly respected by the people, he witnessed half of the era of Islam.
Abu Nuaym al-Fadl ibn Dukin: He said to Ibn Wahb, if you enter it, meaning Basra, you will not find anyone but a fool, except Abu al-Walid.
Ahmad ibn Hanbal: The Sheikh of Islam, no one today is more knowledgeable in Hadith than him, and he said: Accurate.
Ahmad ibn Sinan al-Qattan: The Amir (leader) of the Hadith scholars.
Ahmad ibn Salih al-Jili: Trustworthy, Upright in Hadith.
Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani: Trustworthy, Upright.
Al-Dhahabi: The Haafidh (preserver of Hadith).
Sulaiman ibn Dawud al-Tayalisi: Imam of his time.
Abd al-Baqi ibn Qani' al-Baghdadi: Trustworthy, Reliable, Upright.
Muhammad ibn Sa'd Katb al-Waqidi: Trustworthy, Upright, an authority.
Muhammad ibn Muslim ibn Wahb: Abu al-Walid narrated to me, and I don't think I have met anyone like him.
Mu'awiya ibn Abd al-Karim al-Ziyad: I witnessed Basra, and the people used to say: There is no one more intelligent than Abu al-Walid in Basra.
