Abu Hatim al-Razi: How pure his hadith is, you will hardly find him narrating from the weak. He is trustworthy, and it is said: There was no one after Shubah more knowledgeable about the narrators than him.
Abu Hatim ibn Hibban al-Busti: He mentioned him among the trustworthy and said: He was pious. And once: He mentioned him among the famous scholars of the cities, and said: One of the pious in narrations.
Abu Dawud al-Sijistani: He changed, but he was trustworthy.
