It was narrated that Ghudaif bin Al-Harith (رضي الله تعالی عنہ) said : "I entered upon Ummul Momineen Aishah (رضي الله تعالى عنها) and asked her : 'Did the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) perform Ghusl at the beginning of the night or at the end?' She said : 'Both. Sometimes he performed Ghusl at the beginning and sometimes at the end.' I said: 'Praise be to Allah who has made the matter flexible.'"

غضیف بن حارث کہتے ہیں کہ میں ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس آیا، اور ان سے پوچھا: کیا رسول اللہ ﷺ رات کے ابتدائی حصہ میں غسل کرتے تھے یا آخری حصہ میں؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: دونوں وقتوں میں کرتے تھے، کبھی رات کے شروع میں غسل کرتے اور کبھی رات کے آخر میں، میں نے کہا: شکر ہے اس اللہ رب العزت کا جس نے اس معاملے میں گنجائش رکھی ہے۔
Ghazeef bin Haris kehte hain ke main ummul momineen Ayesha radiallahu anha ke pas aaya, aur un se poocha: kya rasoolullah sallaho alaihi wasallam raat ke ibtidai hisse mein ghusl karte the ya aakhri hisse mein? to unhon ne kaha: dono waqton mein karte the, kabhi raat ke shuru mein ghusl karte aur kabhi raat ke akhir mein, main ne kaha: shukr hai us Allah Rabbul izzat ka jisse is mamle mein ghanjaish rakhi hai.
أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ بُرْدٍ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ نُسَىٍّ، عَنْ غُضَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ رضى الله عنها فَسَأَلْتُهَا قُلْتُ أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَغْتَسِلُ مِنْ أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ مِنْ آخِرِهِ قَالَتْ كُلَّ ذَلِكَ رُبَّمَا اغْتَسَلَ مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ وَرُبَّمَا اغْتَسَلَ مِنْ آخِرِهِ . قُلْتُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي الأَمْرِ سَعَةً .
