It was narrated that Abdullah bin Salimah said : "I came to Hadhrat Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) with two other men and he said : 'The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) used to come out of the toilet and recite Qur'an, and he would eat meat with us and nothing would prevent him from (reciting) Qur'an except Janabah."

عبداللہ بن سلمہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں اور دو آدمی علی رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس آئے تو انہوں نے فرمایا: اللہ کے رسول ﷺ بیت الخلاء سے باہر تشریف لاتے تو قرآن مجید پڑھتے۔ آپ ﷺ ہمارے ساتھ گوشت کھاتے اور آپ کو قرآن مجید پڑھنے سے جنابت کے سوا کوئی چیز مانع نہ ہوتی تھی۔
Abdul-Allah bin Salmah bayan karte hain ke main aur do aadmi Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke pas aaye to unhon ne farmaya: Allah ke rasool (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) bait-ul-khala se bahar tashreef late to Quran majeed padhte. Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) hamare sath gosht khate aur aap ko Quran majeed padhne se janabat ke siwa koi cheez mane nah hoti thi.
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلِمَةَ، قَالَ أَتَيْتُ عَلِيًّا أَنَا وَرَجُلاَنِ، فَقَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَخْرُجُ مِنَ الْخَلاَءِ فَيَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ وَيَأْكُلُ مَعَنَا اللَّحْمَ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ يَحْجُبُهُ عَنِ الْقُرْآنِ شَىْءٌ لَيْسَ الْجَنَابَةَ .
