Sunan an-Nasa'i 1680

Qais bin Talq narrated that his father, Talq bin Ali visited me one day in Ramadan and stayed with us until the evening. He led us in praying Qiyam that night and prayed witr with us. Then he went down to a masjid and led his companions in prayer until only witr was left. Then he told a man to go forward and said to him, ‘Lead them in praying witr, for I heard the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) say that there should not be two witr in one night.

اسود بن یزید کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے رسول اللہ ﷺ کی نماز کے بارے میں پوچھا، تو انہوں نے کہا: آپ شروع رات میں سو جاتے، پھر اٹھتے اگر سحر  ( صبح )  ہونے کو ہوتی تو وتر پڑھتے، پھر اپنے بستر پر آتے، اور اگر آپ کو خواہش ہوتی تو اپنی بیوی کے پاس آتے، پھر جب اذان سنتے تو جھٹ سے اٹھ کر کھڑے ہو جاتے، اگر جنبی ہوتے تو  ( اپنے اوپر پانی ڈالتے )  یعنی غسل فرماتے، ورنہ وضو کرتے پھر نماز کو چلے جاتے۔

Aswad bin Yazid kehte hain ke main ne ummul momineen Ayesha radiallahu anha se Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki namaz ke baare mein poocha, to unhon ne kaha: Aap shur-u raat mein so jaate, phir uthte agar sahar (subah) hone ko hoti to witr padhte, phir apne bistar par aate, aur agar aap ko khwahish hoti to apni biwi ke paas aate, phir jab azan suntay to jhat se uth kar khare ho jaate, agar janbi hote to (apne oopar pani daalte) yani ghusl farmaate, warna wazu karte phir namaz ko chale jaate.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ صَلاَةِ، رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَتْ كَانَ يَنَامُ أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَإِذَا كَانَ مِنَ السَّحَرِ أَوْتَرَ ثُمَّ أَتَى فِرَاشَهُ فَإِذَا كَانَ لَهُ حَاجَةٌ أَلَمَّ بِأَهْلِهِ فَإِذَا سَمِعَ الأَذَانَ وَثَبَ فَإِنْ كَانَ جُنُبًا أَفَاضَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَاءِ وَإِلاَّ تَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ ‏.‏

Sunan an-Nasa'i 1681

Al-Aswad bin Yazid narrated, ‘I asked 'Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) about the prayer of the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). She said, ‘He used to sleep during the first part of the night, then get up during the time before dawn and pray witr. Then he would go to his bed and if he needed to be intimate, he would go to his wife. Then when he heard the Adhan he would get up, and if he was junub he would pour water over himself, otherwise he would perform wudu, and then he would go out to the prayer’.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے شروع، اخیر اور بیچ رات سب میں وتر کی نماز پڑھی ہے، اور آخری عمر میں آپ کا وتر سحر ( صبح )  تک پہنچ گیا تھا ۔

Umme-ul-Momineen Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) kahti hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne shuru, akhir aur beech raat sab mein witir ki namaz padhi hai, aur aakhri umr mein aap ka witir sahar (subh) tak pahunch gaya tha

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ وَثَّابٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ أَوْتَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ وَآخِرِهِ وَأَوْسَطِهِ وَانْتَهَى وَتْرُهُ إِلَى السَّحَرِ ‏.‏

Sunan an-Nasa'i 1682

Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صل ى هللا عليه و آلهوسلم) prayed witr at the beginning (of the night) and at the end, and in the middle. And toward the end of his life, he settled on performing witr at the end of the night.

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہم کہتے ہیں کہ جو رات کو نماز پڑھے تو وہ اپنی آخری نماز وتر کو بنائے، اس لیے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ اسی کا حکم دیتے تھے۔

Abdul-Allah bin Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke jo raat ko namaz padhe to woh apni aakhri namaz witar ko banaye, is liye ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) isi ka hukm dete the.

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، قَالَ مَنْ صَلَّى مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلْيَجْعَلْ آخِرَ صَلاَتِهِ وَتْرًا فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِذَلِكَ ‏.‏
