Al-Bara (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that they went out with the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) for a funeral, and when we reached the grave, the Lahd had not yet been prepared. He sat, and we sat around him, as if there were birds on our heads.’

عبیداللہ بن معیہ نامی ایک شخص کہتے ہیں کہ غزوہ طائف کے دن دو مسلمان مارے گئے، تو وہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس اٹھا کر لائے گئے، تو آپ نے انہیں ( اسی جگہ ) دفنانے کا حکم دیا جہاں وہ مارے گئے تھے۔ اس حدیث کے راوی ابن معیہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے عہد میں پیدا ہوئے تھے۔

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، يُقَالُ لَهُ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَيَّةَ قَالَ : أُصِيبَ رَجُلاَنِ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يَوْمَ الطَّائِفِ، فَحُمِلاَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَمَرَ أَنْ يُدْفَنَا حَيْثُ أُصِيبَا . وَكَانَ ابْنُ مُعَيَّةَ وُلِدَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
