Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that ‘the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) designated Dhul-Hulaifah as the Miqat for the people of Madinah, Al-Juhfah for the people of Najd, and Yalmlam for the people of Yemen. He said, ‘they are for them, and for anyone who comes to them from elsewhere. If a person's place of residence is within the boundary of the Miqat, then (he should enter into Ihram) from where he starts his journey, and this also applies to the people of Makkah.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اہل مدینہ کے لیے ذوالحلیفہ کو، اہل شام کے لیے جحفہ کو، اہل نجد کے لیے قرن کو اور اہل یمن کے لیے یلملم کو میقات مقرر کی اور فرمایا: ”یہ یہاں کے لوگوں کی میقات ہیں اور ان تمام لوگوں کی بھی جو یہاں سے ہو کر گزریں چاہے جہاں کہیں کے بھی رہنے والے ہوں۔ اور جو لوگ ان میقاتوں کے اندر کے رہنے والے ہیں تو ان کی میقات وہیں سے ہے جہاں سے وہ چلیں یہاں تک کہ مکہ والوں کی میقات مکہ ہے“۔
Abdul'allah bin Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se riwayat hai ke Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ahl-e-Madinah ke liye Zual-Hulifah ko, ahl-e-Sham ke liye Jahfah ko, ahl-e-Najd ke liye Qarn ko aur ahl-e-Yaman ke liye Yalamlam ko miqat muqarrar ki aur farmaya: "Yeh yahan ke logo ki miqat hain aur in tamam logo ki bhi jo yahan se ho kar guzarin chahe jahan kahan ke bhi rehne wale hon. Aur jo log in miqaton ke andar ke rehne wale hain to un ki miqat wahin se hai jahan se woh chalin yeh tak ke Makkah walon ki miqat Makkah hai".
أَخْبَرَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، صَاحِبُ الشَّافِعِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، وَحَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَّتَ لأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَلأَهْلِ الشَّامِ الْجُحْفَةَ وَلأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنًا وَلأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمَ وَقَالَ " هُنَّ لَهُنَّ وَلِكُلِّ آتٍ أَتَى عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ غَيْرِهِنَّ فَمَنْ كَانَ أَهْلُهُ دُونَ الْمِيقَاتِ حَيْثُ يُنْشِئُ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ " .
