Chapter: The Virtue Of Charity In The Cause Of Allah

باب فَضْلِ الصَّدَقَةِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ‏.‏

Sunan an-Nasa'i 3187

Abu Mas'ud (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that a man gave a bridled camel in charity in the cause of Allah. The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘On the Day of Resurrection seven hundred bridled camels will come to you.’

ابومسعود رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک شخص نے مہار والی ایک اونٹنی اللہ کے راستے میں صدقہ میں دی تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”قیامت کے دن ( اس ایک اونٹنی کے بدلہ میں ) سات سو مہار والی اونٹنیوں کے ( ثواب ) کے ساتھ آئے گا“۔

Abu Mas'ud (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se riwayat hai ke aik shakhs ne mahaar wali aik untni Allah ke raste mein sadaqah mein di to Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Qiyamat ke din (is aik untni ke badle mein) saat sau mahaar wali untniyon ke (thawab) ke sath aayega".

أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيَّ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، تَصَدَّقَ بِنَاقَةٍ مَخْطُومَةٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ لَيَأْتِيَنَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِسَبْعِمِائَةِ نَاقَةٍ مَخْطُومَةٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Sunan an-Nasa'i 3188

Mu'adh bin Jabal (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘Campaigns are of two types. As for the one who seek the Face of Allah, obeys the Imam, spends what is precious to him, is easy-going with his companion and avoids mischief, when he is asleep and when he is awake, it will all bring reward. But as for the one who fights to show off, and he disobeys the imam and does mischief in the land, he will not come back the same as when he left (It was not simply be the case that he comes back with no good deeds to his credit, rather he will have a number of evil deeds on his record).

معاذ بن جبل رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جہاد دو طرح کے ہیں: ایک جہاد وہ ہے جس میں جہاد کرنے والا اللہ کی رضا و خوشنودی کا طالب ہو، امام ( سردار ) کی اطاعت کرے، اپنی پسندیدہ چیز اللہ کے راستے میں خرچ کرے، اپنے شریک کو سہولت پہنچائے، اور فساد سے بچے تو اس کا سونا، و جاگنا سب کچھ باعث اجر ہو گا۔ دوسرا جہاد وہ ہے جس میں جہاد کرنے والا ریاکاری اور شہرت کے لیے جہاد کرے، امیر ( سردار و سپہ سالار ) کی نافرمانی کرے اور زمین میں فساد پھیلائے تو وہ برابر سرابر نہیں لوٹے گا ۱؎“۔

Mu'az bin Jabal (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Jihad do tarah ke hain: ek jihad woh hai jis mein jihad karne wala Allah ki raza wa khushnoodi ka talib ho, Imam ( sardar ) ki it'aat kare, apni pasandida chiz Allah ke raste mein kharch kare, apne shareek ko suhoolat pahunchaye, aur fasad se bache to is ka sona, wa jagna sab kuchh ba'is ajr hoga. Dusra jihad woh hai jis mein jihad karne wala riyakari aur shahrat ke liye jihad kare, Amir ( sardar wa sipah salar ) ki nafarmani kare aur zamin mein fasad phelaye to woh barabar sar abar nahin lotega 1؎".

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، عَنْ بَحِيرٍ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَحْرِيَّةَ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَالَ ‏"‏ الْغَزْوُ غَزْوَانِ فَأَمَّا مَنِ ابْتَغَى وَجْهَ اللَّهِ وَأَطَاعَ الإِمَامَ وَأَنْفَقَ الْكَرِيمَةَ وَيَاسَرَ الشَّرِيكَ وَاجْتَنَبَ الْفَسَادَ كَانَ نَوْمُهُ وَنُبْهُهُ أَجْرًا كُلُّهُ وَأَمَّا مَنْ غَزَا رِيَاءً وَسُمْعَةً وَعَصَى الإِمَامَ وَأَفْسَدَ فِي الأَرْضِ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَرْجِعُ بِالْكَفَافِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
