Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) conducted the procedure of Li'an between a man and his wife, and he separated them and attributed the child to his mother.’

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے مرد اور اس کی بیوی کے درمیان لعان کا حکم دیا اور ان دونوں کے درمیان تفریق کر دی اور بچے کو ماں کی سپردگی میں دے دیا۔
Abdullah bin Umar razi Allah unhuma kehte hain ki Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne mard aur uski biwi ke darmiyaan liaan ka hukum diya aur in donon ke darmiyaan tafreeq kar di aur bache ko maan ki supurdgi mein de diya.
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ لاَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَيْنَ رَجُلٍ وَامْرَأَتِهِ وَفَرَّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا وَأَلْحَقَ الْوَلَدَ بِالأُمِّ .
