It was narrated that Ghudaif bin Al-Harith (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said: "I went to Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) and asked her: 'Did the Apostle of Allah ( صلى هللا عليه وآله وسلم) perform Ghusl at the beginning of the night or at the end?' She said: 'Both. Sometimes he performed Ghusl at the beginning and sometimes at the end.' I said: 'Praise be to Allah who has made the matter flexible.'"

غضیف بن حارث کہتے ہیں کہ میں ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس آیا، تو میں نے ان سے سوال کیا اور کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ رات کے ابتدائی حصہ میں غسل کرتے تھے یا آخری حصے میں؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: دونوں طرح سے ( کرتے تھے ) ، کبھی رات کے ابتدائی حصہ میں غسل کرتے، اور کبھی آخری حصہ میں، اس پر میں نے کہا: اس اللہ کی تعریف ہے جس نے شریعت مطہرہ والے معاملہ کے اندر گنجائش رکھی ہے۔
Ghazeef bin Harith kehte hain ke mein Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) ke pass aya, to main ne un se sawal kiya aur kaha: Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) raat ke ibtidai hisse mein ghusl karte the ya aakhri hisse mein? To unhon ne kaha: Donon tarah se (karte the), kabhi raat ke ibtidai hisse mein ghusl karte, aur kabhi aakhri hisse mein, is par main ne kaha: Is Allah ki tarif hai jisne shariat-e-mathira wale mamle ke andar gunjaish rakhi hai.
أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ بُرْدٍ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ نُسَىٍّ، عَنْ غُضَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَسَأَلْتُهَا فَقُلْتُ أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَغْتَسِلُ مِنْ أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ مِنْ آخِرِهِ قَالَتْ كُلُّ ذَلِكَ كَانَ رُبَّمَا اغْتَسَلَ مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ وَرُبَّمَا اغْتَسَلَ مِنْ آخِرِهِ . قُلْتُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي الأَمْرِ سَعَةً .
