It was narrated from Anas ( رضئللا تعالی عنہ) that someone asked the Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) about the time of Subh. The Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) commanded Bilal (رضئ للا تعالی عنہ) to call the Adhan when dawn broke, then the next day he delayed Fajr until it was very light, then he told him to call the Adhan and he prayed. Then he said : "This is the time for the prayer."

انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک پوچھنے والے نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے فجر کی اذان کا وقت پوچھا، تو آپ نے بلال کو حکم دیا، تو انہوں نے فجر طلوع ہونے کے بعد اذان دی، پھر جب دوسرا دن ہوا تو انہوں نے فجر کو مؤخر کیا یہاں تک کہ خوب اجالا ہو گیا، پھر آپ نے انہیں ( اقامت کا ) حکم دیا، تو انہوں نے اقامت کہی، اور آپ نے نماز پڑھائی پھر فرمایا: یہ ہے فجر کا وقت ۔
Ins (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se riwayat hai ke aik poochhne walay ne rasool allahu (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se fajr ki azan ka waqt poocha, to aap ne bilal ko hukm diya, to unhon ne fajr talo' honay ke ba'ad azan di, phir jab doosra din hua to unhon ne fajr ko mu'akhkhar kiya yahan tak ke khoob ajala ho gaya, phir aap ne unhen ( iqamat ka ) hukm diya, to unhon ne iqamat kahi, aur aap ne namaz padhai phir farmaaya: yeh hai fajr ka waqt .
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ سَائِلاً، سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ وَقْتِ الصُّبْحِ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِلاَلاً فَأَذَّنَ حِينَ طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ فَلَمَّا كَانَ مِنَ الْغَدِ أَخَّرَ الْفَجْرَ حَتَّى أَسْفَرَ ثُمَّ أَمَرَهُ فَأَقَامَ فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ قَالَ " هَذَا وَقْتُ الصَّلاَةِ " .
