Sunan an-Nasa'i 1569
Ata narrated, ‘I heard Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) say, ‘I bear witness that I attended Eid with the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). He started with the prayer before the Khutba, then he delivered the Khutba’.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہم کہتے ہیں کہ میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ میں رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ عید میں شریک رہا، تو آپ نے خطبہ سے پہلے نماز شروع کی، پھر آپ نے خطبہ دیا۔
Abdul-Allah bin Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke main gawahi deta hun ke main Rasool Allah salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam ke sath Eid mein sharik raha, to aap ne khutba se pehle namaz shuru ki, phir aap ne khutba diya.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَيُّوبَ، يُخْبِرُ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، يَقُولُ أَشْهَدُ أَنِّي شَهِدْتُ الْعِيدَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَبَدَأَ بِالصَّلاَةِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ ثُمَّ خَطَبَ .
