Sunan an-Nasa'i 1764
Abdullah bin Amr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said to me, ‘Do not be like so-and-so, he used to pray Qiyam Al-Lail then he stopped’.
Grade: Sahih
عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہم کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: اے عبداللہ! فلاں کی طرح مت ہو جانا، پہلے وہ قیام اللیل کرتا تھا ( تہجد پڑھتا تھا ) ، پھر اس نے چھوڑ دیا ۔
Abdul-Allah bin Amr (رضي الله تعالى عنه)um kehte hain ke Rasul-Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Aey Abdul-Allah! flan ki tarah mat ho jana, pehle woh qiyam al-lail karta tha (tahajud padhta tha), phir usne chhod diya.
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ تَكُنْ يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ مِثْلَ فُلاَنٍ كَانَ يَقُومُ اللَّيْلَ فَتَرَكَ قِيَامَ اللَّيْلِ " .
