Sunan an-Nasa'i 1881
. Rabiah bin Saif Al-Mu'afiri narrated from Abu Abdur Rahman Al-Hubuli, from Abdullah bin Amr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that while they were traveling with the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), he saw a woman, and did not think that he knew her. When she was halfway to him, he stopped until she reached him, and it was Sayyida Fatimah (رضي الله تعالى عنها) the daughter of the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). He said to her, 'what brought you out of your house, O Fatimah (رضئ هللا تعالی عنہا)?' She said, 'I came to the people of this deceased one to pray for mercy for them, and to offer my condolences to them.' He said, 'perhaps you went with them to Al-Kuda (for the burial)? She said, 'Allah forbid that I should go there. I heard what you said about that.' He said, if you had gone there with them, you would never have seen Paradise until the grandfather of your father saw it.’

ام عطیہ انصاریہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ جس وقت رسول اللہ ﷺ کی بیٹی ۱؎ کی وفات ہوئی، آپ ہمارے پاس تشریف لائے اور فرمایا: اسے پانی اور بیر ( کے پتوں ) سے دو تین یا پانچ یا اس سے زیادہ بار اگر مناسب سمجھو غسل دو، اور آخری بار میں کچھ کافور یا کافور کی کچھ مقدار ملا لو ( اور ) جب تم ( غسل سے ) فارغ ہو تو مجھے خبر کرو ۔ تو جب ہم فارغ ہوئے تو ہم نے آپ کو خبر دی تو آپ نے ہمیں اپنا تہبند دیا اور فرمایا: اسے ان کے بدن پر لپیٹ دو ۲؎۔
Um Atiya Ansari Razi Allah Anha kehti hain ke jis waqt Rasool Allah Sali Allah Alayhi Wasallam ki beti 1 ki wafat hui, Aap hamare pas tashreef laye aur farmaya: ise pani aur bair (ke paton) se do teen ya panch ya is se ziyada bar agar munasib samjho ghusl do, aur aakhri bar mein kuch kafoor ya kafoor ki kuch miqdar mila lo (aur) jab tum (ghusl se) farigh ho to mujhe khabar karo. To jab hum farigh hue to humne Aap ko khabar di to Aap ne hamen apna tehband diya aur farmaya: ise un ke badan par lipat do 2.
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، أَنَّ أُمَّ عَطِيَّةَ الأَنْصَارِيَّةَ، قَالَتْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِينَ تُوُفِّيَتِ ابْنَتُهُ فَقَالَ " اغْسِلْنَهَا ثَلاَثًا أَوْ خَمْسًا أَوْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكِ إِنْ رَأَيْتُنَّ ذَلِكِ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ وَاجْعَلْنَ فِي الآخِرَةِ كَافُورًا أَوْ شَيْئًا مِنْ كَافُورٍ فَإِذَا فَرَغْتُنَّ فَآذِنَّنِي " . فَلَمَّا فَرَغْنَا آذَنَّاهُ فَأَعْطَانَا حَقْوَهُ وَقَالَ " أَشْعِرْنَهَا إِيَّاهُ " .
