Sunan an-Nasa'i 3343
Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Abu Talhah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) proposed marriage to Umm Sulaim (رضي الله تعالى عنها) and she said, 'by Allah, a man like you are not to be rejected, O Abu Talhah (رضي الله تعالى عنه), but you are a disbeliever, and I am a Muslim, and it is not permissible for me to marry you. If you become Muslim, that will be my dowry, and I will not ask you for anything else.' So, he became Muslim and that was her dowry.’ (One of the narrators) Thabit said, ‘I have never heard of a woman whose dowry was more precious than Umm Sulaim ( رضي الله تعالى عنها) (whose dowry was) Islam. And he consummated the marriage with her, and she bore him a child.’

انس رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ( غزوہ خیبر کے موقع پر قید ہو کر آنے والی یہودی سردار حي بن اخطب کی بیٹی ) صفیہ رضی اللہ عنہا کو آزاد کیا، اور ان کی آزادی کو ان کا مہر قرار دیا، حدیث کے الفاظ راوی حدیث محمد کے ہیں۔
Ins razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ke Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ( Ghazwa Khaibar ke mauqe par qaid ho kar aane wali yehودی sardar Hai bin Akhab ki beti ) Safiyah razi Allah anha ko azad kiya, aur un ki azadi ko un ka mehr qarar diya, hadees ke alfaz rawi hadees Muhammad ke hain.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْحَبْحَابِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَعْتَقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَفِيَّةَ وَجَعَلَ عِتْقَهَا مَهْرَهَا . وَاللَّفْظُ لِمُحَمَّدٍ .
