Sunan an-Nasa'i 3819
Abu Al-Ahwas narrated that his father said, ‘I said, 'O Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), I have a cousin, and I come to him and ask him (for help) but he does not give me anything, and he does not uphold the ties of kinship with me. Then, when he needs me, he comes to me and asks me (for help). I swore that I would not give him anything, nor uphold the ties of kinship with him.' He commanded me to do that which is better and to offer expiation for my oath.’

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ سعد بن عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی اکرم ﷺ کے پاس آئے اور عرض کیا کہ میری ماں مر گئیں، ان کے ذمے ایک نذر تھی جو انہوں نے پوری نہیں کی تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: اسے ان کی جانب سے تم پوری کر دو ۔
Abdul-Allah bin Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a kehte hain ke Saad bin Ubadah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) Nabi-e-Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pas aaye aur arz kiya ke meri maa mar gayin, in ke zamme ek nazar thi jo unhon ne poori nahin ki to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: isay in ki janib se tum poori kar do.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ آدَمَ، وَهَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُرْوَةَ - عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ جَاءَ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ إِنَّ أُمِّي مَاتَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا نَذْرٌ فَلَمْ تَقْضِهِ . قَالَ " اقْضِهِ عَنْهَا " .
