Sunan an-Nasa'i 3826
Ubaid bin 'Umair said: I heard 'Aishah say: The Prophet used to stay with Zainab bint Jahsh and drink honey at her house. Hafsah and I agreed that if the Prophet came to either of us, she would say: 'I detect the smell of Maghafir (a nasty-smelling gum) on you. Have you eaten Maghafir?' He went to one of them and she said that to him. He said: 'No, rather I drank honey at the house of Zainab bint Jahsh, but I will never do it again.' Then the following was revealed: 'O Prophet! Why do you forbid (for yourself) that which Allah has allowed to you' up to: 'If you two turn in repentance to Allah' -'Aishah and Hafsah- 'And (remember) when the Prophet disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his wives.' refers to him saying: 'No, rather I drank honey.'

کعب بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجھے صرف سچ کی وجہ سے نجات دی تو میری توبہ میں سے یہ ہے کہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول کو صدقہ کر کے اپنے مال سے الگ ہو جاؤں۔ آپ نے فرمایا: اپنا کچھ مال اپنے پاس روک لو یہ تمہارے لیے بہتر ہو گا ، میں نے عرض کیا: تو میں اپنا وہ حصہ روک لیتا ہوں جو خیبر میں ہے۔
Ka'b bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke main ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! Allah Ta'ala ne mujhe sirf sach ki wajah se nijat di to meri toba mein se yeh hai ke Allah aur uske Rasool ko sadaqa kar ke apne mal se alag ho ja'un. Aap ne farmaya: Apna kuchh mal apne pas rok lo yeh tumhare liye behtar hoga, main ne arz kiya: To main apna woh hissa rok leta hun jo Khaibar mein hai.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْدَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْقِلٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي كَعْبَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِنَّمَا نَجَّانِي بِالصِّدْقِ وَإِنَّ مِنْ تَوْبَتِي أَنْ أَنْخَلِعَ مِنْ مَالِي صَدَقَةً إِلَى اللَّهِ وَإِلَى رَسُولِهِ . فَقَالَ " أَمْسِكْ عَلَيْكَ بَعْضَ مَالِكَ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكَ " . قُلْتُ فَإِنِّي أُمْسِكُ سَهْمِي الَّذِي بِخَيْبَرَ .
