Sunan an-Nasa'i 5312
Jarir narrated from Sulaiman At-Taimi, from Abu Uthman A-Nahdi (رضي الله تعالى عنه), who said, ‘we were with Utbah bin Farqad (رضي الله تعالى عنه) when the letter of Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) came, saying that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘no one wears silk except one who has no share of it in the Hereafter, except this much.’ And Abu Uthman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) gestured with the two fingers that are next to the thumb. And I saw the two of them pointing to the borders of the Tayalisah (a type of shawl or cloak, generally black in colour) so that I could see the Tayalisah.’

ابوعثمان النہدی کہتے ہیں کہ ہم عتبہ بن فرقد کے ساتھ تھے کہ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کا فرمان آیا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا ہے: ”ریشم تو وہی پہنتا ہے جس کا اس میں سے آخرت میں کوئی حصہ نہیں مگر اتنا“، ابوعثمان نے انگوٹھے کے پاس والی اپنی دونوں انگلیوں کے اشارے سے کہا، میں نے دیکھا وہ طیلسان کے کپڑوں کے چند بٹن تھے، یہاں تک کہ میں نے طیلسان کا کپڑا بھی دیکھا۔
Abu Usman al-Nahdi kehte hain ke hum Utbah bin Farqad ke sath the ke Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ka farman aaya ke Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya hai: "Rishm to wohi pehenta hai jis ka is mein se akhirat mein koi hissa nahi magar itna", Abu Usman ne unghtay ke pass wali apni dono ungliyon ke ishare se kaha, main ne dekha woh taylisan ke kapron ke kuchh button they, yahan tak ke main ne taylisan ka kapra bhi dekha.
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ فَرْقَدٍ فَجَاءَ كِتَابُ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ يَلْبَسُ الْحَرِيرَ إِلاَّ مَنْ لَيْسَ لَهُ مِنْهُ شَىْءٌ فِي الآخِرَةِ إِلاَّ هَكَذَا " . وَقَالَ أَبُو عُثْمَانَ بِأُصْبُعَيْهِ اللَّتَيْنِ تَلِيَانِ الإِبْهَامَ فَرَأَيْتُهُمَا أَزْرَارَ الطَّيَالِسَةِ حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ الطَّيَالِسَةَ .
