Sunan an-Nasa'i 832
It was narrated from Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) rode a horse and fell from it, and sustained an injury on his right side. He led one of the prayers sitting, and we prayed behind him sitting. When he had finished he said : "The Imam is appointed to be followed. If he prays standing then pray standing; when he bows, bow; when he says - َُّ ُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهسَمِعَ َّللا[ Allah hears those who praise Him] say - َر ُبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْد[Our Lord, to You be praise]; and if he prays sitting then pray sitting, all of you."

انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ ایک گھوڑے پر سوار ہوئے تو آپ اس سے گر گئے اور آپ کے داہنے پہلو میں خراش آ گئی، تو آپ نے کچھ نمازیں بیٹھ کر پڑھیں، ہم نے بھی آپ کے پیچھے بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھی، جب آپ سلام پھیر کر پلٹے تو فرمایا: امام بنایا ہی اس لیے گیا ہے کہ اس کی اقتداء کی جائے، تو جب وہ کھڑے ہو کر نماز پڑھے تو تم بھی کھڑے ہو کر پڑھو، اور جب وہ رکوع کرے تو تم بھی رکوع کرو، اور جب وہ «سمع اللہ لمن حمده» کہے تو تم«ربنا لك الحمد» کہو، اور جب وہ بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھے تو تم سب بھی بیٹھ کر پڑھو ۔
Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se riwayat hai ke Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ek ghore par sawar hue to aap is se gir gaye aur aap ke dahine pahloo mein kharash aa gayi, to aap ne kuchh namazain baith kar padheen, hum ne bhi aap ke peeche baith kar namaz padhi, jab aap salam phir kar paltte to farmaya: Imam banaya hi is liye gaya hai ke is ki iqtada ki jaaye, to jab woh khare ho kar namaz padhe to tum bhi khare ho kar padho, aur jab woh rukoo kare to tum bhi rukoo karo, aur jab woh «Samea Allahu liman hamda» kahe to tum«Rabana lak al-hamd» kaho, aur jab woh baith kar namaz padhe to tum sab bhi baith kar padho.
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَكِبَ فَرَسًا فَصُرِعَ عَنْهُ فَجُحِشَ شِقُّهُ الأَيْمَنُ فَصَلَّى صَلاَةً مِنَ الصَّلَوَاتِ وَهُوَ قَاعِدٌ فَصَلَّيْنَا وَرَاءَهُ قُعُودًا فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ " إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الإِمَامُ لِيُؤْتَمَّ بِهِ فَإِذَا صَلَّى قَائِمًا فَصَلُّوا قِيَامًا وَإِذَا رَكَعَ فَارْكَعُوا وَإِذَا قَالَ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ فَقُولُوا رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَإِذَا صَلَّى جَالِسًا فَصَلُّوا جُلُوسًا أَجْمَعُونَ " .
