Sunan an-Nasa'i 836
It was narrated from Abu Bakr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) offered the fear prayer (Salat Al-Khauf). He led those who were behind him in two Rak'a and those who came (after them) in two Rak'a, so the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) prayed four Rak'a and each group prayed two.

ابوبکرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ نے خوف کی نماز پڑھائی، تو اپنے پیچھے والوں کو دو رکعت پڑھائی، ( پھر وہ چلے گئے ) اور جو ان کی جگہ آئے انہیں بھی دو رکعت پڑھائی، تو اس طرح نبی کریم ﷺ کی چار رکعتیں ہوئیں، اور لوگوں کی دو دو رکعتیں ۔
Abu Bakr RA kahte hain ke Nabi e Akram SAW ne khauf ki namaz padhai, to apne peeche walon ko do rakat padhai, ( phir woh chale gaye ) aur jo un ki jagah aaye unhein bhi do rakat padhai, to is tarah Nabi e Kareem SAW ki chaar rakatin huin, aur logon ki do do rakatin 1؎.
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ صَلَّى صَلاَةَ الْخَوْفِ فَصَلَّى بِالَّذِينَ خَلْفَهُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَبِالَّذِينَ جَاءُوا رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَكَانَتْ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَرْبَعًا وَلِهَؤُلاَءِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ .
