Sunan an-Nasa'i 98
It was narrated from 'Amr bin Yahya (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that his father said to 'Abdullah bin Zaid bin 'Asim (رضي الله تعالى عنه), who was one of the Companions of the Prophet ( صلىہللا عليه و آله وسلم) and the grandfather of 'Amr bin Yahya (رضي الله تعالى عنه) : "Can you show me how the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) used to perform Wudu'? 'Abdullah bin Zaid (رضي الله تعالی عنہ) said, yes. He called for (water for) Wudu' and poured some onto his right hand, washing his hands twice. Then he rinsed his mouth and nose three times, then washed his face three times, then he washed his hands twice, up to the elbows. Then he wiped his head with his hands, back and forth, starting at the front of his head and moving his hands to the nape of his neck, then bringing them back to the place he started. Then he washed his feet."

یحییٰ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے ( ان کے باپ عمارہ نے ) عبداللہ بن زید بن عاصم رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا - ( وہ عمرو بن یحییٰ کے دادا ہیں ) کیا آپ مجھے دکھا سکتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کیسے وضو کرتے تھے؟ عبداللہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: جی ہاں! چنانچہ انہوں نے پانی منگایا، اور اپنے دائیں ہاتھ پر انڈیل کر اپنے دونوں ہاتھ دو دو بار دھوئے، پھر تین بار کلی کی، اور ناک میں پانی ڈالا، پھر اپنا چہرہ تین بار دھویا، پھر اپنے دونوں ہاتھ دو دو مرتبہ کہنیوں تک دھوئے، پھر اپنے دونوں ہاتھوں سے اپنے سر کا مسح کیا، ان کو آگے لائے اور پیچھے لے گئے، اپنے سر کے اگلے حصہ سے ( مسح ) شروع کیا، پھر انہیں اپنی گدی تک لے گئے، پھر انہیں واپس لے آئے یہاں تک کہ اسی جگہ لوٹا لائے جہاں سے شروع کیا تھا، پھر اپنے دونوں پاؤں دھوئے۔
Yahya se riwayat hai ke unhon ne ( un ke bap Amara ne ) Abdullah bin Zaid bin Asim (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se kaha - ( wo Amru bin Yahya ke dada hain ) kya aap mujhe dikha sakte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kaise wazu karte the? Abdullah bin Zaid (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha: ji han! Chunancha unhon ne pani mangaya, aur apne daayen hath per andel kar apne dono hath do do bar dhuye, phir teen bar kli ki, aur nak mein pani dala, phir apna chehra teen bar dhuya, phir apne dono hath do do martaba kahniyon tak dhuye, phir apne dono hathon se apne sar ka masah kiya, un ko aage laye aur peeche le gaye, apne sar ke agle hisse se ( masah ) shuru kiya, phir unhein apni gadi tak le gaye, phir unhein vapas le aaye yahin tak ke usi jagah lota laye jahan se shuru kiya tha, phir apne dono paon dhuye.
أَخْبَرَنَا عُتْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، - هُوَ ابْنُ أَنَسٍ - عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ - وَهُوَ جَدُّ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى - هَلْ تَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ تُرِيَنِي، كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَتَوَضَّأُ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ نَعَمْ . فَدَعَا بِوَضُوءٍ فَأَفْرَغَ عَلَى يَدِهِ الْيُمْنَى فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ مَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ ثَلاَثًا ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلاَثًا ثُمَّ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ ثُمَّ مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِيَدَيْهِ فَأَقْبَلَ بِهِمَا وَأَدْبَرَ بَدَأَ بِمُقَدَّمِ رَأْسِهِ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ بِهِمَا إِلَى قَفَاهُ ثُمَّ رَدَّهُمَا حَتَّى رَجَعَ إِلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي بَدَأَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ .
