Al-Mu'jam al-Saghir 406
Sayyiduna Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Allah Almighty has fixed a share for the poor Muslims in the wealth of the rich Muslims, which is sufficient for their needs, and the poor should not be subjected to excessive hardship when they are hungry. Beware of the attitude that the rich have towards them! Allah Almighty will take a severe account from them on the Day of Judgment, and then He will punish them severely."

سیدنا علی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں: رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے غنی مسلمانوں پر ان کے مالوں میں ان کے فقراء کے لئے اتنا حصہ مقرر کیا ہے جتنا ان کے فقراء کو کافی ہو، اور فقراء جب بھوکے ہوں تو زیادہ مشقت میں نہ پڑ جائیں۔ اس رویہ سے جو اغنیاء ان سے کرتے ہیں خبردار! اللہ تعالیٰ ان سے قیامت کے روز سخت حساب لے گا، پھر انہیں سخت عذاب کرے گا۔“
Syedna Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehty hain: Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Allah Ta'ala ne ghani Musalmano par un ke maalon mein un ke fuqra ke liye itna hissa muqarrar kiya hai jitna un ke fuqra ko kafi ho, aur fuqra jab bhooky hon to zyada mushqqat mein na parh jayen. Iss rawayya se jo aghniya un se karte hain khabardar! Allah Ta'ala un se qayamat ke roz sakht hisab le ga, phir unhen sakht azab kare ga."
حَدَّثَنَا دُلَيْلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ دُلَيْلٍ الأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُقْرِئُ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ الزَّاهِدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ ، عَنْ حَرْبِ بْنِ سُرَيْجٍ الْمِنْقَرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ كَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَجْهَهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنَّ اللَّهَ فَرَضَ عَلَى أَغْنِيَاءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ بِقَدْرِ الَّذِي يَسَعُ فُقَرَاءَهُمْ، وَلَنْ تُجْهَدَ الْفُقَرَاءُ إِذَا جَاعُوا وَعَرُوا إِلا بِمَا يُضَيِّعُ، يَصْنَعُ، أَغْنِيَاؤُهُمْ، أَلا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُحَاسِبُهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حِسَابًا شَدِيدًا، ثُمَّ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا"، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، إِلا حَرْبُ بْنُ سُرَيْجٍ، وَلا عَنْهُ إِلا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ. تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ ثَابِتُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ، مِنْ وُجُوهٍ غَيْرِ مُسْنَدَةٍ
