It is narrated from Hazrat Imran bin Abi Anas that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to apply kohl. And you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to apply kohl three times in the right eye and two times in the left eye.
حضرت عمران بن ابی انس سے روایت ہے۔ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اثمد سرمہ لگایا کرتے تھے۔ اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) دائیں آنکھ میں تین سلائیاں سرمہ لگاتے تھے اور بائیں آنکھ میں دو سلائیاں سرمہ لگاتے تھے۔

حضرت ابن سیرین کے بارے میں روایت ہے کہ وہ دو سلائیاں اس آنکھ میں اور دو سلائیاں اس آنکھ میں سرمہ لگایا کرتے تھے اور ایک سلائی دونوں آنکھوں کے درمیان لگاتے تھے۔
