Hazrat Habshi bin Junadah narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: Charity is not lawful for the rich. Nor is it lawful for the strong and healthy.
حضرت حبشی بن جنادہ روایت کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو فرماتے سُنا۔ صدقہ غنی کے لیے حلال نہیں ہے۔ اور نہ ہی طاقت ور صحت مند کے لیے حلال ہے۔
Hazrat Habshi bin Junadah riwayat karte hain ke maine Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko farmate suna. Sadqa ghani ke liye halal nahi hai. Aur na hi taqatwar sehat mand ke liye halal hai.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Charity is not lawful for the rich, nor is it lawful for the strong and healthy."
حضرت ابوہریرہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : صدقہ، غنی کے لیے حلال نہیں ہے اور نہ ہی طاقت ور، صحت مند کے لیے حلال ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: Sadqah, ghani ke liye halal nahi hai aur na hi taqatwar, sehatmand ke liye halal hai.
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Charity (Zakat) is not permissible for the rich, nor is it permissible for the strong and healthy.
And it is narrated from (Imam) Abu Hanifa that he used to give permission to give charity to such a person and said that it is permissible.
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمرو سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : صدقہ (زکوۃ) غنی کے لیے حلال نہیں ہے اور نہ ہی طاقت ور صحت مند کے لیے حلال ہے۔
اور (امام) ابوحنیفہ کے بارے میں منقول ہے کہ وہ ایسے شخص پر صدقہ کرنے میں رخصت دیتے ہیں اور فرماتے ہیں کہ جائز ہے۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Amro se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: Sadaqah (Zakat) ghani ke liye halal nahi hai aur na hi taqatwar sehat mand ke liye halal hai.
Aur (Imam) Abu Hanifa ke bare mein manqol hai keh woh aise shaks par sadaqah karne mein rukhsat dete hain aur farmate hain ke jaiz hai.
