Hazrat Ibn Umar narrates that I was presented in the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the day of Uhud. I was fourteen years old at that time. You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) considered me young and I was presented in your (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) service on the day of Khandaq. I was fifteen years old at that time. So you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) allowed me. Hazrat Nafi' says that I narrated this hadith to Umar bin Abdul Aziz. The narrator says: He said: This is the limit between young and old. The narrator says that he wrote to his governors that the one who is fifteen years old should be counted among the warriors and the one who is fourteen years old should be counted among the children. And the saying of (Imam) Abu Hanifa is mentioned that nothing is (obligatory) on a girl until she reaches the age of eighteen or seventeen years.
حضرت ابن عمر بیان فرماتے ہیں کہ مجھے احد کے دن نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی خدمت میں پیش کیا گیا۔ میں اس وقت چودہ سال کا تھا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مجھے چھوٹا سمجھا اور مجھے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی خدمت میں خندق کے دن پیش کیا گیا۔ میری عمر اس وقت پندرہ سال تھی۔ تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مجھے اجازت دے دی۔ حضرت نافع فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے یہ حدیث عمر بن عبد العزیز کو بیان کی۔ راوی کہتے ہیں : انھوں نے فرمایا : یہی چھوٹے بڑے میں حد ہے۔ راوی کہتے ہیں کہ انھوں نے اپنے گورنروں کو لکھا کہ پندرہ سال والے کو مقاتلین میں شمار کرو اور چودہ سال والے کو بچوں میں شمار کرو۔ اور (امام) ابوحنیفہ کا قول یہ ذکر کیا گیا ہے کہ لڑکی پر اٹھارہ سال یا سترہ سال تک پہنچنے تک کچھ بھی (لازم) نہیں ہے۔
Hazrat Ibn Umar bayan farmate hain ke mujhe Uhad ke din Nabi Pak (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki khidmat mein pesh kiya gaya. Main us waqt chaudah saal ka tha. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne mujhe chhota samjha aur mujhe aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki khidmat mein Khandaq ke din pesh kiya gaya. Meri umar us waqt pandrah saal thi. To aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne mujhe ijazat de di. Hazrat Nafe farmate hain ke maine ye hadees Umar bin Abdul Aziz ko bayan ki. Rawi kehte hain: Unhon ne farmaya: Yahi chhote bade mein had hai. Rawi kehte hain ke unhon ne apne governoron ko likha ke pandrah saal wale ko muqatilun mein shumar karo aur chaudah saal wale ko bachchon mein shumar karo. Aur (Imam) Abu Hanifa ka qaul ye zikar kiya gaya hai ke ladki par attharah saal ya satrah saal tak pahunchne tak kuchh bhi (lazim) nahin hai.
ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : عُرِضْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ⦗ص:٢٩٤⦘ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَأَنَا ابْنُ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ فَاسْتَصْغَرَنِي ، وَعُرِضْتُ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ وَأَنَا ابْنُ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ فَأَجَازَنِي " ، قَالَ : نَافِعٌ : فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ : هَذَا حَدٌّ بَيْنَ الصَّغِيرِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، قَالَ : فَكَتَبَ إِلَى عُمَّالِهِ أَنْ يَفْرِضُوا لِابْنِ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ فِي الْمُقَاتِلَةِ وَلِابْنِ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ فِي الذُّرِّيَّةِ وَذُكِرَ أَنَّ أَبَا حَنِيفَةَ قَالَ : لَيْسَ عَلَى الْجَارِيَةِ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ أَوْ سَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ
