Regarding a man who gives a beast in charity and then sees it sold afterward
فِي الرَّجُلِ يَتَصَدَّقُ بِالدَّابَّةِ فَيَرَاهَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ تُبَاعُ

Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 10506
It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Umar that Umar donated a horse in the path of Allah and allowed a warrior to ride it. Later, he saw it in the market and intended to buy it back for himself. He went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and asked him about it. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Leave it, so that you may be rewarded in full on the Day of Resurrection."
حضرت ابن عمر سے مروی ہے کہ حضرت عمر نے گھوڑا اللہ کے راستے میں صدقہ کیا اور مجاہد کو سوار فرمایا بعد میں بازار میں ان کو دیکھا اور خود ہی دوبارہ خریدنے کا ارادہ فرمایا اور آنحضرت (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے جا کر اس کے متعلق دریافت فرمایا : آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا اس کو چھوڑ دو تاکہ قیامت کے دن اس کا (پورا) بدلہ تجھے عطاء کیا جائے۔
Hazrat Ibn Umar se marvi hai keh Hazrat Umar ne ghora Allah ke rastay mein sadqa kya aur mujahid ko sawar farmaya baad mein bazaar mein un ko dekha aur khud hi dobara khareednay ka irada farmaya aur Anhazrat (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se ja kar is ke mutalliq daryaft farmaya : Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya is ko chhor do take qayamat ke din is ka (poora) badla tumhe ataa kya jaye.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَرَآهَا فِي السُّوقِ تُبَاعُ ، فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ ، أَنْ يَشْتَرِيَهَا فَقَالَ : « لَا دَعْهَا حَتَّى تُوَافِيَكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ».
