كِتَابُ الطَّلَاقِ
Who said: If she converts and he does not, she is not taken from him.
مَنْ قَالَ: إِذَا أَسْلَمَتْ وَلَمْ يُسْلِمْ، لَمْ تُنْزَعْ مِنْهُ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 18313
Hazrat Hassan (R.A) narrates that a Christian woman, whose husband had embraced Islam, was sought to be separated from her husband by her family. They traveled to Hazrat Umar (R.A) who then gave the woman the choice [to stay with her husband or not].
حضرت حسن (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک عیسائی مرد کی عیسائی عورت نے اسلام قبول کرلیا، اس کے گھر والوں نے اسے اس کے خاوند سے آزاد کرانا چاہا تو وہ حضرت عمر (رض) کی طرف سفر کیا تو انھوں نے اس عورت کو اختیار دیا۔
Hazrat Hassan (RA) farmate hain keh aik eesai mard ki eesai aurat ne Islam qubool kar liya, uske ghar walon ne usay uske khawand se azad karana chaha to woh Hazrat Umar (RA) ki taraf safar kiya to unhon ne us aurat ko ikhtiyar diya.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : نا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، أَنَّ نَصْرَانِيَّةً أَسْلَمَتْ تَحْتَ نَصْرَانِيٍّ ، فَأَرَادُوا أَنْ يَنْزِعُوهَا مِنْهُ ، « فَرَحَلُوا إِلَى عُمَرَ فَخَيَّرَهَا »
