كِتَابُ الطَّلَاقِ

Who said: The waiting period of the mother of the child is one menstrual period.

‌مَنْ قَالَ: عِدَّةُ أُمِّ الْوَلَدِ حَيْضَةٌ

Hazrat Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) said that in the event of the death of the master of a bondwoman (umm walad), the waiting period ('iddah) of the bondwoman is one menstrual cycle.

حضرت زید (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ ام ولد باندی کے آقا کے انتقال کرجانے کی صورت میں باندی (ام ولد باندی) کی عدت ایک حیض ہے۔

Hazrat Zaid (RA) farmate hain keh umm walad bandi ke aqa ke inteqal kar jane ki soorat mein bandi (umm walad bandi) ki iddat ek haiz hai.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : نا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ زَيْدٍ قَالَ : « عِدَّتُهَا حَيْضَةٌ »
