Regarding the permission to write Quran verses for someone to drink.
فِي الرُّخْصَةِ فِي الْقُرْآنِ يُكْتَبُ لِمَنْ يُسْقَاهُ

Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 23508
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas that when a woman is having difficulty in childbirth, these two verses and words should be written on a piece of paper. Then it should be washed and this water should be given to the woman to drink. (Translation of the words is as follows) I begin with the name of Allah, besides Whom there is no god, the Forbearing, the Merciful. Holy is Allah, the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the Great Throne. { As if, on the Day they shall see it, they had not tarried but a single evening, or the morning thereof. } and { And on the Day when they shall see that which they are promised, it will be as if they had not tarried but an hour of a day. (This is) a clear Message! Then shall none be destroyed but the transgressing people }
حضرت ابن عباس سے روایت ہے۔ کہتے ہیں کہ جب کسی عورت کو بچہ کی ولادت میں تنگی ہو تو ان دو آیتوں اور کلمات کو ایک صفحہ پر لکھ دیا جائے پھر اس کو دھو کر یہ پانی عورت کو پلایا جائے۔ (الفاظ کا ترجمہ یہ ہے) شروع اس خدا کے نام سے جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں ہے جو بہت بردبار اور کرم کرنے والا ہے۔ پاک ہے اللہ ، جو رب ہے ساتوں آسمانوں کا اور جو رب ہے عرش عظیم کا۔ { کَأَنَّہُمْ یَوْمَ یَرَوْنَہَا لَمْ یَلْبَثُوا إِلاَّ عَشِیَّۃً ، أَوْ ضُحَاہَا } اور { کَأَنَّہُمْ یَوْمَ یَرَوْنَ مَا یُوعَدُونَ لَمْ یَلْبَثُوا إِلاَّ سَاعَۃً مِنْ نَہَارٍ بَلاَغٌ فَہَلْ یُہْلَکُ إلاَّ الْقَوْمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ }۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas se riwayat hai. Kehte hain ki jab kisi aurat ko bache ki wiladat mein tangi ho to in do aayaton aur kalmat ko ek safhe par likh diya jaye phir usko dho kar ye pani aurat ko pilaya jaye. (Alfaaz ka tarjuma ye hai) Shuru uss khuda ke naam se jiske siwa koi mabood nahin hai jo bohat burdbaar aur karam karne wala hai. Pak hai Allah, jo rabb hai saaton aasmanon ka aur jo rabb hai arsh azeem ka. { Ka'anna hum yawma yarawnaha lam yalbasu illaa ashiyyatan, aw duhaha } aur { Ka'anna hum yawma yarawna ma yu'adun lam yalbasu illaa sa'atan min naharin balaghun fa hal yuhlaku illaal qawmul fasiqun }.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : إِذَا عَسِرَ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ وَلَدُهَا ، فَيَكْتُبُ هَاتَيْنِ الْآيَتَيْنِ وَالْكَلِمَاتِ فِي صَحْفَةٍ ثُمَّ تُغْسَلُ فَتُسْقَى مِنْهَا : « بِسْمِ اللَّهِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَلِيمُ الْكَرِيمُ ، سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ السَّمَوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ » ﴿ كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَاهَا ﴾ [ النازعات : ٤٦ ] ﴿ كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ مَا يُوعَدُونَ لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلَّا سَاعَةً مِنْ نَهَارٍ ، بَلَاغٌ فَهَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلَّا الْقَوْمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ ﴾ [ الأحقاف : ٣٥ ]
