Hazrat Urwah narrates that I found Hazrat Saad bin Ubadah at his high place calling out: "Whoever loves fat and meat should come to Saad bin Ubadah." The narrator says: Then I found his son calling out in the same way. And when I was young, I was walking on the way to Madinah when I came across Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar, who was going towards his land in the forest. He said, "O young man! See if someone is calling out at the high place of Saad bin Ubadah." I looked. I submitted: "No." You said: "You have spoken the truth."
حضرت عروہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت سعد بن عبادہ کو پایا کہ وہ اپنے بلند مکان پر یوں ندا لگا رہے تھے : جو شخص چربی اور گوشت کو محبوب رکھتا ہے اس کو چاہیے کہ وہ سعد بن عبادہ کے پاس آجائے۔ راوی فرماتے ہیں : پھر اس کے بعد میں نے ان کے بیٹے کو یہ ندا لگاتے ہوئے پایا۔ اور میں زمانہ جوانی میں مدینہ کے راستہ میں چل رہا تھا کہ مجھ پر حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر کا گزر ہوا جو جنگل میں اپنی زمین کی طرف جا رہے تھے۔ آپ نے فرمایا : اے جوان ! ذرا دیکھو کہ کوئی سعد بن عبادہ کے بلند گھر میں ندا لگا رہا ہے ؟ میں نے دیکھا۔ میں نے عرض کیا : نہیں۔ آپ نے فرمایا : تم نے سچ کہا۔
Hazrat Urwa farmate hain keh maine Hazrat Saad bin Ubadah ko paya keh woh apne buland makan par yun nida laga rahe the: Jo shakhs charbi aur gosht ko mehboob rakhta hai us ko chahie keh woh Saad bin Ubadah ke paas aa jaye. Rawi farmate hain: Phir is ke baad maine un ke bete ko yeh nida lagate hue paya. Aur main zamana jawani mein Madina ke rasta mein chal raha tha keh mujh par Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar ka guzar hua jo jungle mein apni zameen ki taraf ja rahe the. Aap ne farmaya: Aye jawan! Zara dekho keh koi Saad bin Ubadah ke buland ghar mein nida laga raha hai? Maine dekha. Maine arz kiya: Nahi. Aap ne farmaya: Tum ne sach kaha.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : أَدْرَكْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ وَهُوَ يُنَادِي عَلَى أُطُمِهِ : " مَنْ أَحَبَّ شَحْمًا أَوْ لَحْمًا ، فَلْيَأْتِ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ ، ثُمَّ أَدْرَكْتُ ابْنَهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يَدْعُو بِهِ ، وَلَقَدْ كُنْتُ أَمْشِي فِي طَرِيقِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَأَنَا شَابٌّ فَمَرَّ عَلَيَّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ مُنْطَلِقًا إِلَى أَرْضِهِ بِالْعَالِيَةِ ، فَقَالَ : " يَا فَتَى ، تَعَالَ انْظُرْ هَلْ تَرَى عَلَى أُطُمِ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ أَحَدًا يُنَادِي ، فَنَظَرْتُ ، فَقُلْتُ : لَا ، فَقَالَ : صَدَقْتَ "
