كِتَابُ الدُّعَاءِ
Regarding the reward of remembering Allah.
فِي ثَوَابِ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ ﷿
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 29452
Hazrat Muadh (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "There is no deed of the son of Adam that saves him from Hellfire more than the remembrance of Allah." The Companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah, not even Jihad in the cause of Allah?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah, unless one fights with the sword until it breaks, then fights with the broken sword until it breaks, then fights with the broken sword until it breaks."
حضرت معاذ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : آدم کے بیٹے کا کوئی عمل نہیں ہے جو اس کو جہنم سے زیادہ نجات دلا دے سوائے اللہ کے ذکر کے ، تو صحابہ نے عرض کیا : اے اللہ کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ! اللہ کے راستہ میں جہاد کرنا بھی نہیں ؟ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : نہ ہی اللہ کے راستہ میں جہاد کرنا مگر یہ کہ تو تلوار استعمال کرے یہاں تک کہ وہ ٹوٹ جائے پھر تو تلوار چلائے یہاں تک کہ ٹوٹ جائے پھر تو تلوار چلائے یہاں تک کہ وہ ٹوٹ جائے۔
Hazrat Muaz farmate hain keh Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: Adam ke bete ka koi amal nahi hai jo usko jahannam se zyada nijaat dila de siwaye Allah ke zikr ke, to sahaba ne arz kiya: Aye Allah ke Rasool (sallallahu alaihi wasallam)! Allah ke raaste mein jihad karna bhi nahi? Aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: Nahi Allah ke raaste mein jihad karna magar yeh keh tu talwar istemaal kare yahan tak keh woh toot jaye phir tu talwar chalaye yahan tak keh toot jaye phir tu talwar chalaye yahan tak keh woh toot jaye.
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ مُعَاذٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ : « مَا عَمِلَ ابْنُ آدَمَ عَمَلًا أَنْجَى لَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ مِنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ »، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ؟، قَالَ : « وَلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، تَضْرِبُ بِسَيْفِكَ حَتَّى يَنْقَطِعَ ، ثُمَّ تَضْرِبُ بِسَيْفِكَ حَتَّى يَنْقَطِعَ ، ثُمَّ تَضْرِبُ بِهِ حَتَّى يَنْقَطِعَ »
